OVERVIEW:

Earned a scholarship prior to his sophomore season after joining the team as a walk-on

in 2014

Atypical height for the position that allows him a sense of shiftiness to slip through the

tackles and solid top-end speed in free space

Adds quality depth at in a loaded Sun Devil backfield

SOPHOMORE (2015):

Added depth to the running back roster

FRESHMAN (2014):

Joined the team after spending two years serving a Mormon mission 

A pivotal member of the scout team that earned playing time on special teams on the year

HIGH SCHOOL:

2011 graduate of Mountain View High School 

Rushed for 3,119 yards and 35 touchdowns over his last two seasons for the Toros and

was named the East Valley Offensive Player of the Year after his junior season

Drew interest from schools like BYU, NAU, Colorado, Hawaii, as well as a number of

lower-division programs

Upon return from his church mission, he decided to walk on to ASU at urging of now-

teammate Brandon Mathews

OVERVIEW:

Looks to compete for a starting spot at one of the linebacker positions

Has tremendous strength and size for the position

Has great range in pass coverage and physicality in run support

SOPHOMORE (2015):

Recorded 26 tackles on the season, 6.5 of which were sacks

Had one tackle against Arizona (11/21), a sack

Had a career high 1.5 sacks against Colorado (10/10) on six tackles and followed that

effort with a new career best 2.0 sacks against Utah (10/17)

FRESHMAN (2014):

Became one of eight Sun Devils all-time to start the season opener as a true freshman

and recorded five tackles in his debut

Named a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America

All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention

SCOUT 2014 All-America selection

Calhoun appeared in all 13 games for the Sun Devils on the season, making six starts

Finished with 35 tackles on the year

Had 7.0 tackles for a loss, good for fifth on the team

Had five tackles and a TFL in his first career start against Weber State (8/28)

Topped his previous career-high with nine against USC, including his first career sack

and a career high 2.5 tackles for loss

Had two tackles for loss against Oregon State (11/15)

Had a sack and three tackles against Washington State (11/22)

HIGH SCHOOL:

Unanimously regarded as a four-star prospect

Participated in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Game and was chosen to be a team

captain for the West

Fresno State, Houston, Miami (Fla.), Nebraska, Nevada, San Diego State, Utah State and UTEP
